PTA Board Positions Open for Nominations:
President, VP of Programs, VP of Fundraising,
VP of Membership, Secretary, Treasurer,
Historian, and Parliamentarian
How does the election process work?
1. Fill out the nomination form for yourself, or nominate a friend who you think fits the role. This does NOT obligate you or commit you to running for a position!
2. At the end of March, a nominating committee led by our Parliamentarian will meet with everyone who is nominated over the next 2 months. This is a chance for the committee to get to know you and learn more about your interest and/or qualifications for the position you are nominated for.
3. Attend the election meeting on April 22 (exact time to be confirmed by March 6). The nominating committee will nominate one person for each position, but any member is welcome to nominate others from the floor. So let's say you are hesitant until April 22, you can still attend and have someone nominate you from the floor!

STORIES FROM THE 2024-2025, 2025-2026 EXECUTIVE BOARD
ELIZABETH (LIZ) MARTIN - PRESIDENT, 2024-2025 & 2025-2026
I did not want to be president (ha!). I had put my name in the conversation for Room Parent Coordinator (which let me tell you - so many people want to be Room Parent Coordinator and only one will be selected by the new president, so maybe start opening yourself up to serving in another capacity....like president wink wink).
So how did I become president? Someone pitched my name to the nominating committee (the next step in the process), and I found out after the fact. My exact words were "well, if absolutely no one is running, I guess I can do it..." I went to the election meeting and the rest is history.
I went in with 0 expectations. I have been blessed by an INCREDIBLE group of women to work with for the past 2 years, and we have all become great friends. I have enjoyed my time serving Hilltop, and I am so glad I gave the reluctant yes!
